Last night, more than 1,000 fans were in attendance at San Francisco's Fort Mason where GameStop and Capcom partnered with the EVO Championship Series to host the Street Fighter IV US National Championship Finals. After several months of qualifying, 16 national finalists battled it out on the main stage in cage-style matches and it was JUSTIN WONG, playing as Rufus, who emerged victorious!

The newly crowned Street Fighter IV National Champion defeated runner-up Mike Ross' E. Honda in the final round before moving on to the International Exhibition, going head-to-head with Japanese National Champion Iyo, Korean National Champion Poongko, and the legendary Daigo Umehara of Japan. Long was ultimately bested by Umehara in the final round.

In conjunction with the tournament, GameStop and Capcom joined forces with Second Harvest Food Bank for the "Street Fighter Fights Hunger" charity food drive and guests showed overwhelming support with gift offerings of canned foods and nominal donations.

Additional event festivities included SFIV game play kiosks, special appearances by SFIV producer, Yoshinori Ono and Seth Killian, EVO founder and Special Advisor to the game, performances by freestyle dance crew and America's Best Dance Crew finalists Supreme Soul and SFIV-themed costume contest, activities, and prizes throughout the night.
