March 25th, an online petition was started in attempt to ban Duke Nukem Forever from Walmart stores, due to the "Capture the Babe" mode. In six days the petition has garnerned the support of 4,749 people.
"Why isn't there a 'Capture the Trailer Trash' mode where a girl throws Duke over her shoulder and gives him a 'love smack on the booty' whenever he objects to kidnapping and potential rape? Oh, that's right- because this game was created by an inbred redneck."
It has drawn the attention of people from both sides of the divide. Recently a small group of gamers have come to comment section of the site to defend the game.
"Men get kicked in the balls, turned into pigs and are slaughtered throughout the course of the game. I think that's enough to consider both sexes being fairly mistreated in the game. It's a JOKE, don't take it seriously."
It appears that as the petition gains popularity more gamers are beginning to come to the defense of Duke Nukem Forever. The page is becoming a make-shift grounds of debate that shows no sign of slowing down.
