Anyone here playing Wordle? Seems to be mention a lot lately.
I play it pretty much daily, unless I forget, but it's pretty fun. It's a good way to use my brain at least once a day lol.
Basically you have six guesses to guess a five letter word. You have no hints or anything at the start. So lets say you guess the word isbut what is it? Like a crossword?

TODAY
If any of your letters are wrong, they're grayed out. If you've gotten a letter, but it's in the wrong spot, it'll turn yellow, and if you have a letter that's in the correct place it turns green. So for the sake of theory, let's say the only letter you have right is D, but it's in the wrong place. So next you'd try something like
DREAM
Then D is now in the correct location, so it turns green meaning you don't have to mess with D anymore and you got R in the correct place as well. So now you want to find a 5 letter word that starts with DR. It's hard to explain without visualization, but it's the best way I can explain it.
Wordle - A daily word game
Guess the hidden word in 6 tries. A new puzzle is available each day.www.powerlanguage.co.uk
Best way to explain it is to play it for yourself, I guess.
Also my hypothetical word was DRINK, for anyone actually curious.
That's actually a much simpler description than I gave, yeah. It's just a fun once a day brain teaser.Sounds like fancy hangman, but without anyone getting hanged
Yeah I can see myself getting addicted to that.
That must be new because I thought it was just some person or maybe a small group of people.Nope. Sounds like Wheel of Fortune/Hangman with some added steps. Also owned by the NYT which is how it has been shown in the news recently.
