Let's face it, the reason most people are adverse to 3D technology is the bulky, often uncomfortable glasses you have to wear to enjoy it. They remove viewers from the experience and make the wearer look pretty goofy in the process. Samsung has teamed up with Silhouette, the renowned Austrian design firm, to change all of that, and the SSG-3700CR 'Feather-Light' glasses are the result.
The Feather-Light glasses use an unusual wrap-around design and boast a total weight of less than 1 ounce, can be custom-tailored with prescription lenses, and can be charged wirelessly. They are compatible with all of Samsung's new 3D LED displays, beginning with the 6400 series.
The SSG-3700CR's can be paired with a wireless charging system, the CY-SWC1000A Wireless Charger, which allows users to simply rest their glasses on a specialized stand to recharge up to four 3D glasses simultaneously.
