Some of those thick laptops seem to last many years. Thick laptops are also easier fix because you can replace the RAM, Hard drive, wi-fi card, and battery by unscrewing a door, and un-clipping cards.
But, many thin laptops may use glue to stick parts together and have the RAM, storage drive, and parts like Wi-Fi built-into the motherboard which makes it a lot harder to fix.
That is super thin, also looks very light as well with the way he is holding it, I will be honest. I would be weary about having a laptop like that as it doesn't look too strong at all and looks like it could easily break.
