Yes, I think in the future computer operating systems might be so advance that you need software, or built-in software in the operating system to maintain it, or the operating system will have a mind of its own, and constantly fix errors automatically for you.
Indeed, but the built-in system utility software for Windows like Disk Clean up unless you use software like http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/ which schedule scans and automatically fix problems in most cases. I believe Windows also does not delete old shortcuts for Programs which you previously uninstalled or deleted sometimes if the uninstaller is poorly made, but TuneUp Utilities does this.
TuneUp Utilities also gives you advice on how to make Windows run better, and you just need to press a button to agree with the changes.
Indeed, the PC can be even more self-maintaining, and warn users not to mess around with the command prompt/CMD, Registry Editor, and a bunch of other programs and places which can break Windows when they randomly delete or modify Windows files, and registry keys.
Indeed, it would be very nice to have a computer warn you of what would happen if you do something wrong since there is a lot of bad advice from people who give bad advice to delete and install things online which can screw up your computer more then it fixes it.
It would also be nice if computers can save your work if you forgot to save work before you shutdown.
Like I once ran SFC /Scannow in the command prompt because of advice someone on a website gave me, and his advice ruined Windows 7 beyond repair where I can't even start up any programs, and all the fonts/text got messed up , and I had to do a fresh install.
