Yes, I think PC gaming will make a huge comeback when the price of gaming PCs which can play console quality HD games or better becomes the same price or about the same price as consoles which is usually 400 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360 ) which was the price of the Xbox 360 when it first got released .

It is now possible to build a 500 dollar Gaming PC if you know how to build PCs.

I think over time in the next few years, 3D PC gaming will become more affordable because all newer PCs in the future may be able to play highend 3D Games for a cheap price because of advancement in technology, and the cost of the Gaming PCs will be very competitive with newer consoles at 400 dollars since I the price of PCs are mostly going down because of cheap labor, cheaper manufactuering, and high competition from Tablets, smartphones, laptops, game consoles, hand helds, Smart TVs, Google Android devices, and other powerful devices which can play games in 3D.

Plus, with PC, your gaming is more free and open, so you are not stuck with only a few good companies which make good games, and PCs have a lot of good free games, ad-supported games, donation supported games, and inexpensive games from Steam, and other online marketplaces.

I was born and raised as a gamer in front of a tv with a game system, really can't break away from that tradition.

You can also plug a computer into a TV, or have your computer stream games to your TV wirelessly via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi if you have the equiptment needed to wirelessly stream audio and video to your TV.

There are also wired and wireless controllers you can plug into a PC for playing games if you dislike keyboards for gaming.

I played both computer, and gaming console games growing up, but computer games always seem slightly cooler sometimes because of the customization, choices, shortcut keys, and mods for games like custom maps which is not always possible with consoles, and controllers.

I like choices of being able to play games on a console, PC, Tablet, smartphone, handheld, and other devices with a screen and speakers.

Decent graphics cards run about 50 bucks. It wouldn't run the latest games, but you'd be able to build a gaming pc for about 400 dollars.

I think you can now buy a decent store bought computer like a HP, or Acer for about 300-400 or more dollars which also has onboard video by Nvidia, ATI, and Intel which can play World of Warcraft, The Sims, Age of Empire, Diablo II, Starcraft, and less video intensive games like FEAR, Crysis, etc on High.

You just have to adjust the quality settings of the games to low or medium, and change the screen resolution of the game to 1024 x 768 or less for more graphics intensive games.

Onboard video has improved since the 90s-early 2000s when onboard video can barely play higher resolution or HD video.
