I would buy a console without a disk drive. I want to buy the Ouya when it comes out in 2013 which lets you play free downloadable games, and demos of paid games which you can pay a few dollars to buy the full game. Plus, $99 is a good price for most TV related electronic since you can't get much for $99 except for maybe a Blu-Ray Player or multi-disc DVD players.

If the Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, etc comes out with a version of the PS3 without a disc drive and has a 500GB-1TB hard drive which is $50-80 cheaper then the version with the Disc drive, I may buy it to play Digital downloadable games if it lets me buy an external USB disc drive at a latter time if I ever need to buy a disc drive to play a disc base games.

Even the Genesis had a cartrige port for games. That CD addon was stupid, yes, but it just added another drive.

Yes, I would buy it. Hell, I already have a steam account with 24 games in the library as it is. Mine as well, right?
I still think it's a terrible Idea to make a console that way, but what are ya gonna do?
