Yes, I will buy a computer which did not come with a Keyboard, mouse, speakers or monitor since I usually don't use the mouse and keyboard which come with desktops since some don't feel and look very good when I use them, and I already own a keyboard, mouse, speaker, and monitor from my old computer, or rather pick and choose my own keyboard, mouse, speaker, and monitor instead of paying for something I don't think I enjoy using like a ball mouse...

Yes, and I have just as long as the price is right (in that the person doesn't try charging me the price of a bundled PC suite, when I'm only buying the tower and/or they don't try to overcharge me for the parts that are there because I will be researching this before I even contact the seller for purchase..) and the parts in optimal working condition and are worth the money being spent.

My husband and I have only built our own PC's and upgraded various parts over time and so, we've just been buying the tower with all the parts we'd need or we just get a sweet looking barebone and work from there..

I like choosing the extras myself because I know what I like and I dont want to have to worry about storing an extra monitor, etc. when I can either use what I already have or pick my own stuff.

I don't see why you would buy them all together in a package in the first place- I imagine those kinds of things would be pretty overpriced.

Desktop bundles are sometimes about the same cost, and sometimes cheaper if you buy it as a bundle vs buying them all separately from the same store, or building a low to midend computer yourself without buying a keyboard or mouse since Computer builders like HP, Acer, etc buy parts, Windows, and software for cheaper prices since they have deals with the hardware and software industry, so they can sell them cheaper.

Desktop bundles which include the accessories can be a better deal for first time desktop computer buyers, or if the buyer need to replace their speakers, keyboard, and mouse as well as their desktop because they are all very outdated or failing. You also save money on shipping and handling cost if you buy from online stores like Dell, Newegg, Amazon, etc by shipping them all in one big box vs many individual shipments.

Some stores also give buyers a nice discount on the monitor and printers when you buy a desktop computer from them during back to school sales.

Most big name PC makers like Dell, HP, and Acer bundle keyboard and mouse, and sometimes speakers when you buy a computer at BestBuy because most likely the typical consumer at Bestbuy will want the whole package when buying a PC, and not have to deal with compatibility problems by re-using their older PS/2 or Serial keyboard and mice from their old PC which might not work on most newer PCs.

yes, since I already have keyboards and mouses and all that. And it seems stuff that comes with PCs are cheap.

But then again my flat key ASUS keyboard is rather nice.

I think if you are buying a computer made by a big name computer company like Asus, Apple, Lenovo, Hp, etc, it would be better to use their bundle keyboard since the company sometimes include special keyboard software/drivers preinstall in Windows for its keyboard for multimedia keys, shortcuts, Turn on and off your computer, and other functions to make using your store bought PC more convenient.

depends on the computer.... the only computer i would buy with my own money wuld be a WAR546G---- its a 72GB RAM with 64GB Harddrive

its better than alienwares best.

I think most desktop computers come with at least a pair of cheap keyboard and mouse where I live if I buy from Wal-Mart, BestBuy, Staples, Office Depot, etc since the display model and ads for desktop have a keyboard and mouse. Plus, I think they bundle keyboard and mouse since some people are not very tech savvy, so they might have a hard time picking a keyboard or mouse.

But, the monitor and speaker is usually a separate purchase unless it is an All-In-One PC with the monitor and speaker attached, or they are bundled with the Desktop during a sale.

I didn't know ASUS made keyboards. I've been using a sweet Logitech Ultra X keyboard for the past 6 years. It is discontinued, but I found a guy selling them on ebay so I bought a spare. lol

Well I got like 10-20 of them, but thats another story lol

I know too well what you mean.. My husband works in IT and has been for the past year, and then number of tech stuff we have has doubled. We have like 6 or 7 keyboards, and God knows how many sticks of RAM, and I stopped counting the number of mice, and other tech that he intends on using for parts, which he does do so I have to give him credit.

I just have old keyboard and mice because of older hardware incompatibility issues like old PS/2 and serial keyboard and mouse from the 90s which don't work with USB unless I buy some sort of an adapter or Expansion card for it.

I wonder would USB be replaced with a newer type of plug in the future since the thing I dislike about USB is it only goes in one way unlike other types of plugs like headphone or speaker plugs, and those Red, Yellow, and White audio and video plugs for old game consoles.

So IT jobs brings in the spare tech huh? guess I better get some storage set up for my hopeful IT future job :P

If you are not afraid to meet strangers, Craigslist is a good place to get used tech for a cheap price or for free. I sometimes see some free classifieds on Craigslist for free Tube Monitors, Tube TV, VCRs Desktop computers, and other older tech, but there is always a risk of getting robbed or beaten up, so it is best to meet in a public place like a coffee shop, or bring protection like pepper spray.

Not sure. The new motherboard I just got has USB 3.0 ports. Supposed to be 10x faster than USB 2.
