I own a Tablet which uses Flash memory instead of a hard drive which is mechanical. A Tablet can be consider a computer.

Yes, I would buy a computer without a hard drive since I got a few old hard drive I can use on a new PC. Plus, I might want to buy a SSD or pick my own brand of hard drive myself.

The $35 Raspberry Pi is a computer which does not come with a hard drive, and uses SD cards as storage, so I might buy it if I needed a very cheap computer for web browsing, Office work or watching videos and listening to music.

One day it's most likely nothing will come with a hard drive and people will have their own which they carry around.

I agree, I think someday most PCs won't come with a hard drive, and you have to buy your own like the Xbox 360 Arcade Core Version which is $199 which does not come with a hard drive, and uses a 4GB memory card, but if you want a hard drive, you can always buy the 250GB hard drive for the Xbox 360 for $99 or less when you need to upgrade to more space.
