Or would voice acting never work for the Zelda series? Vote in the poll!

No. I don't know what it is, but voice acting just wouldn't work in Zelda. I don't think that there's any right voices that the characters could have.

Yes, of course. It makes games much more immersive. It worked for Metroid Prime 3, and it would work equally as well for Zelda. Anyone who thinks it would effect it negatively is stuck in the past.

I don't think that there's any right voices that the characters could have.

The characters already HAVE voices, just not full voice acting.

Yes they do, but they don't have full on acting, which is what I'm talking about. Screaming and yelling is fine. Saying actually words is not. Besides I'd probably just turn subtitles on anyway because whenever I play a game I need subtitles because music ends up going over the voices so you can hardly hear them anyway.

I would be really interested in playing a Zelda game with full voice acting. Of course, Link still wouldn't be able to talk, but all the other main characters would be nice to hear. We already hear most of their tones of voice, so a voice acting move would just help the series grow up a little. Generally, I prefer the more adult Zelda games anyways.

i think it would be very unessassary

I don't mind as long as it's done properly. However I prefer not. The Zelda series has always seemed right for having no voice acting. The grunts & gibberish sounds are sufficient enough. Zelda doesn't really need voice acting to tell a good story. The music, grunts/yells, & body language help to set the tone. And I don't believe you need voice acting to make a game 'modern'.

If voice acting is introduced I'll be happy if only the other characters talk. I would like the idea of Link staying mute, period.

EDIT:
Here's a fandub for Twilight Princess.SPOILER WARNING: Ending of Twilight Princess
