PS6 is rumored to cost 1k, would you pay that amount for any Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo console?

LOL no what for unless its gonna similar to steam where u don't need to up CD's in and just buy it like you would on Steam

Honestly I think next gen I might just stick with the Switch 2 so I can still get the newest Pokemon games that drop and Sonic games and any newer games that catch my eye. I am going to skip the PS6, especially at that price tag.

If they charge $1000 for a console then the console must have exclusive AAA rpg/game releases with super duper realtime 3d bouncing PLOTs quality often too! lol With the current Sony First party studios' MO being "to uglify all of their female characters", not gonna happen.

Laufey if she's designed with the real actress' looks instead of the uglification by Sony:

Compare that to what Capcom did for instance:

PlayStation 3 launched at $600 MSRP, but to manufacture it was $1,000 per console. Yup. Sony lost $400 for every console sold, but they made it back via Software and Subscriptions.

I don't think Sony wants to repeat that. Steam said this for Steam Machine: "Is this the Valve console?
We think of Steam Machine as an extension of PC gaming, not as a console.

The traditional console model is to sell hardware at a loss and make up the revenue with subscription services or by selling games that are locked-in to the hardware. We think this can make sense for a single business in the short term but that open ecosystems are better for customers over the long term. PC gaming's history proves this: The openness of the PC gaming space has enabled it to be the primary driver of hardware and software innovation for decades.

The strength of PC gaming is the ability to play the games you want on the hardware you want. Steam Machine is *a* solution to these problems (and we think it's a great one), but it's not the only solution, and we don't want it to be." [Source: Steam Website]

I'll buy a PS6, for whatever price, but this is not cool. The problem is that there are people who asked for these prices. I was in a livestream with an Xbot (yes, I'm making fun of Xbox players), and the moron has the audacity to say "I wish there was a $800 Xbox console." Mind you. MIND YOU... This comment was made BEFORE THE FIRST CONSOLE increase went public. BEFORE THAT.

Are you sure that person wasnt trolling?

LMAO I am definitely not getting a PS6 after the news Sony dropped today. I mentioned I wasn't yesterday for the price, now it's for the price and no more physical games. The PS5 is the last Playstation console I plan on owning.

I wouldn’t be surprised most of the people protesting against the PS6 will cave in a year or two after release and pretend they never protested. Happens every console generation where they’re “totally done” with said company and end up buying it when that one game comes out.

I already see it with Switch 2 owners who are pretending they never refused to buy the console until they got rid of Game Key Cards.

Nintendo's software is too alluring to ignore.

It was fun seeing them cope over buying the game key card for Pokopia despite being drama queens about the key cards.

People need to stop acting performative. I buy shit because I want it. Not because I’m making a statement for internet points.

Some consoles I didn’t buy because it didn’t have any games I wanted to play. Then they came out with a game I wanted to play. Oh well, guess I gotta buy it now. No coping or over complicated justification involved.

I'm sticking by this and will not get a PS6. I'm sure there are going to be people who do cave in for exclusives though but not me. Sony can keep their future consoles lol. "You'll own nothing and be happy." seems to be the way media is continuing to go.

Lol tee hee, you already don’t own the game lmfao and never did rofl. You’re talking about supporting the Switch 2 when a majority of the games aren’t even on the cartridge lol.

I swear to god. I wish I remembered the YouTuber's name right now, because I would post that shit here.

That kind of stupidity just appalls me.

I'll just leave this here...
