Would you prefer Nintendo went third party or just shut down?

If Nintendo was to ever leave the hardware business, what would you hope they'd do?

No, I'm not being negative about Nintendo, I'm just curious which of the two you'd prefer if the company did end up going through some really hard times and couldn't continue making hardware for whatever reason.

Would you want them to just shut down and take all their franchises with them? Make games for other systems/smartphones/PC? Or something else?

i voted third party, but it would be much more reasonable for them to get fans to donate money to keep them alive, or establish a new company of the same people of a different name. looks like someone made this topic out of boredness.

Most topics are made out of boredness.
Would prefer them going third party, as the series like Mario, Zelda and Pokemon is too big and good to be thrown in the trash

I agree with Fillfall.
Nintendo would loose a lot if they shut down.

They wouldn't lose alot, they would lose everything. I mean, can you even see a Mario game on the Xbox?

we need 3rd party games to draw more people in like growups and kids,
more people the better its for nintendo, bigger variety of games draws more people the better its for nintendo, and 3rd parties draw more people for nintendo games, like assassin creed 4, splinter cell, skylanders, disney infinity, sega, Batman, lego games, watchdogs,

Definitely third party. Who would prefer they just shut down?

Now what I would like to see Nintendo do on the Wii U is colaborate with more devs to give life to some of their dormant franchises. If Nintendo doesn't have the time to make a proper Star Fox, Metroid, or F-Zero, license it out to another dev to make the game. Nintendo is currently experiencing delays in delivering games because they are new to developing in the HD era, so licensing out some of their franchises to a company like Plantinum Games (they have expressed interest in becoming 2nd party for Nintendo) would give accomplished devs familiar with HD development the ability to crank out games much quicker and more original than Nintendo could.

I voted other.

I prefer they stay as they are...

Also, I laugh at the n00bs at GameFAQs and other places, who, no matter how many times they've proven wrong, they continue to judge a game by the very first trailer.

I'm referring to Super Mario 3D World.

After E3 Trailer:

OMG Rehash

Hold on, wait until we know more about the game first....

We don't need to wait. We know it'll be a rehash, because we can see the future

After Nintendo Direct Trailer (October 1, 2013):

OMG THIS GAME IS AWESOME

"I'm so sorry I called this a rehash" (that's pretty much exactly what people are saying)

nintendo need the third party to get more people interested in nintendo games and plus get more growup most people they think that nintendo is childish company just makes games for kids and family and they dont know more variety of grownups games because of third party games
