Would you rather receive an iPhone or an iPad?

I'm not the biggest fan of iPhones, and I definitely didn't loved the last model because I think that the thing is huge and I think that biggest cell phones sometimes are more difficult to manipulate than a regular one, so I would definitely go with the iPad, it has the best things of Apple in my opinion: good camera quality and in my experience it's faster and aesthetically more pleasing than an Android tablet.

I would ask for the most expensive iPad Pro tablet since I can sell it for a lot of money on eBay if I don't like it.

I'd tell the gift giver to choose, and keep it.
I can't stand Apple products. They are a rip off, you're literally paying for a picture of an Apple with sub-par deals literally because the status quo has rendered them 'the thing to have'. My last Apple product was my iPod in 2004, and I'll be keeping it that way.

I guess I could gift it on to my wife. She's into that kind of thing.

Hustle, I love it.

I'd personally get an iPad too, but mostly because I already love my Android phone and wouldn't change it for an iPhone. Plus, I wouldn't have to drag my laptop to bed when I want to watch Netflix.

I'd totally do the same. I really have no use for either because I'm totally happy with my phone and tablet situation. I'd rather not rebuy all of my paid apps, along with the accessories I'd be prone to buying for either device. If I had to pick, I'd probably choose the iPhone to give as a gift to one of my parents or one of my sisters, just because I'd know what carrier they're on. I have an NVIDIA Shield tablet and I'm actually very happy with it as a tablet alone, and the expandable storage is great. I use it a lot when I travel and plan to next month on an eight hour long train ride.

The more expensive of the two, so I can resell it, and use the money to upgrade my PC :D But seriously though, I'm not really a fan of Apple products, and I'd rather have a cheap smartphone since it's just gonna do the same job as the more expensive ones, and I barely use my phone from outside texts, alarms, and music players. So I'd rather have the money from those to upgrade my graphics card, or by some more space for my hard drive, which would help a lot in the long run, considering I am very invested in the newer games nowadays.

I'm not the biggest fan of Apple products but if the device wasn't sellable I'd probably go with an iPhone, I don't really see the appeal of tablets nowadays. They just have bigger screens and a different layout, other than that they don't bring anything new to the table.
An iPhone would come in handy because I got really tired of messing with the OS of my phone (LG G2) and I think the iPhone 6S is a pretty cool device, I love the quality of the camera.

I'd go with the iPad. Not a big fan of Apple products, but I feel the iPad would be more useful. Could always sell it too!

If we're talking the latest devices, I would take the iPhone. You could flip that easily just based on the demand of the Galaxy and iPhone. I had a iPad Mini 1st Gen with a Bluetooth keyboard and it wasn't the best iPad to purchase. I bought it for school thinking it would help me, but I feel that I was better off buying a laptop instead. Oh well!

I already have an iPhone, so I'd probably pick the iPad. I currently don't use a tablet (just use my phone for all that) but it'd be nice to watch Netflix on a bigger screen that wasn't a laptop. I need to get an HDMI cable...

What makes you think that? I've had an iPhone since the 4 (now I have the 6s) and they are great devices. I don't really understand why people call them overpriced when Samsung, HTC and LG's flagship devices are literally the exact same prices, sometimes more for premium options. The iPhone has a perfect build quality, its fast to the extent where there is zero lag and the same applies to gaming and iOS is great. Its aesthetically pleasing and other than a few downsides such as the camera bump and the sub-par speakers, its a great device with a good battery life and a good camera.

Its really a preference thing but you are paying $700 for a powerful, premium computing device. Bear in mind you can get a still-viable iPhone 5S for less than $200 these days if you look around, a lot less if you buy second hand. It wouldn't make sense if it was cheap. Bear in mind I've used plenty of Android phones in my life and they are great too, but because I like things minimal and synonymous, I prefer Apple devices.

To answer the question, I'd just get an iPhone 6S plus. It pretty much goes in to tablet territory with the 5.5 inch display, rendering an iPad a little less viable and there are practical applications for a smaller device, such as the ability to put it in your pocket and play music and obviously general portability so yeah, an iPhone wins it for me.

well, i'm gaming person so I go with the i pad because of bigger screen and batter resolution, but I phone has it own advantages like it can be easy to carry to everywhere.
