Hustle, I love it.I would ask for the most expensive iPad Pro tablet since I can sell it for a lot of money on eBay if I don't like it.
I'd totally do the same. I really have no use for either because I'm totally happy with my phone and tablet situation. I'd rather not rebuy all of my paid apps, along with the accessories I'd be prone to buying for either device. If I had to pick, I'd probably choose the iPhone to give as a gift to one of my parents or one of my sisters, just because I'd know what carrier they're on. I have an NVIDIA Shield tablet and I'm actually very happy with it as a tablet alone, and the expandable storage is great. I use it a lot when I travel and plan to next month on an eight hour long train ride.I would ask for the most expensive iPad Pro tablet since I can sell it for a lot of money on eBay if I don't like it.
But seriously though, I'm not really a fan of Apple products, and I'd rather have a cheap smartphone since it's just gonna do the same job as the more expensive ones, and I barely use my phone from outside texts, alarms, and music players. So I'd rather have the money from those to upgrade my graphics card, or by some more space for my hard drive, which would help a lot in the long run, considering I am very invested in the newer games nowadays.I'd tell the gift giver to choose, and keep it.
I can't stand Apple products. They are a rip off, you're literally paying for a picture of an Apple with sub-par deals literally because the status quo has rendered them 'the thing to have'. My last Apple product was my iPod in 2004, and I'll be keeping it that way.
