Yes, I think it would be pretty cool to have a laptop with a removable wireless keyboard like those tablets with a removable wireless keyboard because it will make replacing keyboards on laptops more easy, and I can use my laptop from across the room with a wireless keyboard without the need to buy another keyboard which is wireless to use on the laptop.
Indeed, a removable wireless keyboard would be good for people who like to relax on a chair while surfing the web, or using the keyboard like a remote if it also has play, pause, stop, rewind, foward, volume, and mute like a lot of newer keyboards,
It may be less hot since a keyboard does not get as hot as a laptop which can heat up at the bottom making the users legs heat up.
It also allow you to put the laptop on top of a few blocks of wood or wooden crates to make the monitor higher then the keyboard, so the user won't have to hunch down to type on a laptop if they are very tall.
Plus, you can plug in your laptop to a big screen TV or bigger monitor a few feet away to watch video, surf the web, play games, and do other tasks from the comfort of a couch with a wireless keyboard, and mouse.
It just seems a little silly to have a laptop with a keyboard since it has one built in.
If the laptop heating up someone's legs is really that big of an issue then they can always invest in a lap desk with a fan built in, or they can buy the fan separately and have it attached to the bottom of the laptop.
The number pad, F1, F2... and better located well spaced directional buttons like left, right, up, down on a bigger keyboard may make a difference to people who use calculator, spreadsheet, number programs, and play a lot of fast pace games and Realtime strategy games like Warcraft 3, Starcraft, Command and Conquer, etc which require very fast typing to do stuff in games quickly.
