If the anime has an interesting plot, and characters, I would watch the anime.

It doesn't hold me. I want the MC to be somebody nice! They can be a bit of a bad boy, bad girl, but overall their true heart is wanting to help others. Even if they continually fight it. I've watched at least one before where the MC was the antagonist & for me, it just ruined the whole script. That's just my opinion though
