It reminds me of what capcom did to Resident Evil.

It was an awesome series with an awesome fanbase, now the series has become resident evil 4.

it's watered down, and easily accessible from what the series was.

Nintendo pulled a smart sales move, but like resident evil, the long time fans aren't liking it.

Maybe it's my age talking, but I don't have a problem with this at all (and I've been a Nintendo fan since the beginning). Every company focuses on what they think will make them the big bucks, I actually find it refreshing that Nintendo has always done it their own way (and still made the big bucks). They've held their stance about being a family company for years and haven't changed. I think that if they can get people more involved in actually taking care of themselves (through games such as Wii Fit and whatever else they come up with) than that's great and I'll continue to support them.
