Microsoft just announced that the Xbox one will finally be released on November 22nd for Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and the USA and the system sells for $499.99 USD.

This news comes just short of a recent announcement of the Xbox one's CPU being boosted from 1.6 GHz to 1.75 GHz.

It's also sandwiched between the PS4 release dates. The PS4 is released in the US 7 days before Xbox One, but the PS4 is released in Europe 7 days after the Xbox One.

People still wonder whether Sony will have the upper hand as they release first in the US. But really? Are there really people who will buy the first console that gets released just because they can't wait 7 days until they make a decision which one they want.

I believe the majority of people have already decided if they want the PS4 or the One and will therefore pre-order or buy the one they want, instead of saying "oh PS4 is out first i'll get that then".

I still wanted them to both come out on the same day, just so we could see some epic fan fights.

I think at most this will sway some undecided more to the PS4 but otherwise majority of the gamers should have their money set on the console they wanted.

Well there's also the fact (at least last time I checked it was still a fact) that there will be more Xbox One consoles on the market.

I also read this myself. Microsoft are apparently already palleting up Xbox One consoles, with over 80 to a pallet ready for shipment. I read that they are doing this early to avoid disappointment when it comes to Christmas and to avoid shortages.

I am happy to finally feel a release date for Xbox One however I still do not think I will be getting one this side of Christmas, maybe next year if and when they make a price drop but I feel that is a long way off yet.
