A head of Microsoft's press conference, a leak has appeared confirming a Xbox One Slim which is code name Edmonton.

It will have a 2TB hard drive and be roughly 40% smaller than the original Xbox One. Plus it will support 4K video.

We will have more news on this tomorrow, but keep in mind a whole new Xbox One model will be coming out as well besides this slim.

I don't like the design of this Xbox One. It looks kind of plain, and like a shoe box.

I'm also worried about overheating problems because this Xbox will be 40% smaller, so the air circulation may not be as good as the old Xbox One.

pretty sure its the design of the original Xbox One, though they seem to have made the right side patterned or rough.

The original Xbox One has a slight curve at the bottom front corner, and the disc slot seems to stand out more on the original Xbox One. I don't really like the rough pattern on the new slim Xbox One. But, the rough pattern maybe air holes to help cool it better because the new Xbox will be smaller, so it needs more holes for cooling.

That sounds great and all, but they really should be focusing more on upgrading their systems, instead of just making it smaller and compact for travel or whatever they may think of. There are lots of things that consoles are inferior to the PC, and whether we believe it or not, that's the case. They even had to tone down the graphics from Watch Dogs in the PC because the consoles couldn't handle the original graphics settings. I think that's the problem with consoles, you just can't upgrade per piece or part, you have to get a new one, or worse, a more expensive newer model, so you can play the games you want in the best way possible.

I like that the new Xbox One will have a 2TB hard drive, and is cheaper than the original one. But, I wish there was still a powerbrick since the powerbrick sometimes break, and needs to be replaced.

The 2 TB drive is much needed, but idk about the size. Was that really needed? I'm sure people will buy it anyway but it seems pointless right now. I'll wait and see what other Xbox models they come up with. What they should be focusing on is the performance more than anything. The xbox is already inferior to the PS4 in a lot of ways, let alone the PC.

While upping the HDD to 2TB is obviously a good move, it seems to me it's just a stepping stone to a 4 or even 5TB system depending on if they're sticking to the Xbox ONE or not.

I'm guessing they're trying to keep the costs down but I'd be willing to pay extra for a 5TB system as I think it's just false economy at the end of the day. We might be paying a good price for the system but if we're still going to pay to extra to expand our HDD in the future, I'd rather just pay the extra now and get the hard drive IN the box so to speak.

The PS3 was affected adversely by the fact that it had an inefficient proprietary Sony processor in the PS3 and opposed to the more efficient Intel x86 chip in the PS4. Of course, the slim console design does reduce airflow but given some of the higher-end processors that are running in tablets currently, a reasonable Xbox console design should eliminate the risk of overheating significantly.
