More details have emerged from the Cyberathlete Professional League and X Factor Tournament on the $1,000,000 Halo 3 Xbox 360 competition, to be hosted at the Extreme Winter Championships on December 18th to 22nd at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Dallas, Texas.

The cash prize distribution for the $1,000,000 “Halo 3″ Xbox 360 competition is in this order:
* 1st place - $250,000
* 2nd - $170,000
* 3rd - $100,000
* 4th - $75,000
* 5th - $50,000
* 6th - $40,000
* 7th - $30,000
* 8th - $25,000
* 9th thru 12th - $15,000
* 13th thru 16th - $10,000
* 17th thru 32nd - $5,000
* 33rd thru 64th - $2,500
The online registration for the competition opened yesterday. The admission price is $475 per person, but X Factor Tournament has agreed to provide a special “early-bird†discounted admission until noon tomorrow of $275, so act now
The recommended event arrival date is Dec. 17, 2007 and the recommended departure date is Sunday, Dec. 23. Complete rules and schedule will be released November 6.
