Team17 and Playtonic Games have announced Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, a 2D platformer follow up to 2017’s Yooka-Laylee.
Unlike its predecessor, which look inspiration from the 3D worlds of Banjo-Kazooie, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a 2.5D platformer akin to Donkey Kong Country, with 3D overworld areas where players will solve puzzles. Across each level, players will aid in the rescue of Queen Phobee’s Royal Beetalion Guard.
