You are being held at gunpoint and receive a phone call from a family member. You are ordered to answer but will be shot if you let them know what is happening. What do you say to let them know something is wrong without getting shot?
There needs to be some kind of word or phrase that will let your friend or family know that you're in danger without tipping off the person holding the gun.
This is a great topic & one I have discussed with my family, starting with my mom since I was young. Our trigger phrase would be "How is such & such?" Someone we all knew had passed away & that we would of course not be asking how they are!
Unless you have a code word for distress, it's going to be very difficult for you to pass any information that's not going to show the gunmen you're trying to give them away.
I can't think of anything to say in such situations. I would just pick and tell them I'm busy.
