You know what I want from Pokemon?

I want another Pokemon Stadium. I know there was a Colosseum for GameCube and that other one which I forget the name of for the Wii (I was almost going to buy that at one stage too), but the two of them didn't seem as appealing. However, bare in mind I haven't touched anything apart from the two Stadium games for N64, so I'm not sure if the one for Wii was amazing or not, but I definitely wasn't keeping an eye out for it.

Basically, I want another Stadium where I can have my rental Pokemon and be able to play around and whatnot. Obviously have the DS connectivity so I can import my well trained Pokemon from the handheld games, but yeah, still be able to progress through the game with some rental Pokemon. Maybe have a way of altering the rental Pokemon by battling with them? Although if that were to happen, you might as well start work on a console RPG. The console RPG is a dream of not just me, but probably a few members here, but if I can't get that, I at least want a game like Stadium again, heh.

Anybody here played Colosseum or the one for Wii, actually? I'd like to hear from first hand experience what they're like.

Pokémon Battle Revolution for Wii isn't really good. The only plus is the graphics and that you get some items for Diamond/Pearl. Everything you do is battling people in weird costumes. I hope Nintendo will make a game for wii or Wii 2 that is kinda like Pokémon Colosseum or Pokémon XD Gale Of Darkness.

I've played Colosseum! It's fun, but its difficult to transfer the Pokemon from the GBA games, since an extra cable is required.

Battle Revolution, I've played that too... It was.... A real let-down. It seemed familiar with its Stadium-like elements but if you didn't own a DS and a Pokemon game, guess what? You're stuck with Pokemon that might not be the best for every situation.

Personally, I'd like an RPG that also has the ability to battle with the Pokemon from the handheld games. Similar to Colosseum but this time no stupid cables are required.

Battle Revolution doesn't sound too good then, heh. But in a way, it's a bit like Stadium, how if you want to customise your team, you needed a GameBoy game.

True, but in Stadium at least there where the rental Pokemon. Plus you COULD make a team out of the rentals, too. With Battle Rev you really need a DS game.

Oh, so you get stuck with a default team that you can't change? Ewwwwwww.

Yep, that's right. You can pick either a boy or girl. Both have a different team of Pokemon and can't be changed. You can't even change the gender of the trainer if you wanted the girl's Pokemon but want to be a boy, or vice versa. That's why you need the DS games, so you have a better team.
