A few years back I discovered a small site that was all about indie games. The name of the site - tigsource.
And there I found about what soon became my favorite indie game - Noitu Love 2. It's a fast paced action platformer with lots of baddies and creative monsters. It's made by Konjak, a one man dev team that made more incredible games like Legends of Princess or Chalk. If you're a fan of indie games I recommend you try them out
Terraria probably has my heart right now.
Partly because it's the only thing my lady will play with me, but also because there are seemingly countless things you can do or create in the game. When you get bored you can either play with others or download various complex maps or dungeons that others have designed online.
I love Terraria, I'm not sure if I'd say it's my favorite, but there's lots of content and it's very fun. Asides from that I love Bastion, Super Meat Boy and the Torchlight series.
I've talked about this in another thread and I'll talk about it here too since it's currently my favorite indie game series - Kentucky Route Zero!
It's not just your average point and click adventure game. It has a one of a kind story that keeps you guessing from beginning to end. The execution is flawless. The dialogue is haunting. And there's mystery wherever you go. Each act only lasts a few hours if you take long to read. It's very good. You have to play this game guys.
There are plenty of indie games which I love to play but my favorite must be Hotline Miami. No other feel compares to doing a flawless run just to see that grand "A+" at the end of the stage.
My favorite indie games are "FTL", "Prison Architect", "King Arthur's Gold" and "Don't Starve". I've played big RPG's and Shooters for a long time. It's nice to see another cup of tea. I also like to add they have 10/10 replay valuable as for KAG has an online mode which is the main factor I play.
I also love Terraria, its my most played game on Steam at about 80 hours. It's not my favorite, it's just addicting .
My favorite indie game is Dustforce, it's a platform game where you sweep you up dust. It's hard to explain, but it's so much fun. I can't reccomend it enough.
Unturned a new survival zombie day-z like game developed by 16yrs old developer and it's already in the top 5 games on steam. It's also free to play so you can try it out.
