Copywriting is the use of words and ideas to promote a person, business, opinion or idea. Although the word copy may be applied to any content intended for printing (as in the body of a newspaper article or book), the term copywriter is generally limited to promotional situations, regardless of the medium (as advertisements for print, television, radio or other media). I think online copy writing is useful since Copy Writers write to inform people on useful products, services, and companies while earning money for each reader which buys their products or refers to buy a products on someone eles' website.

I feel copywriting blogs like http://www.copyblogger.com/ are a lot more useful then personal blogs since copywriting purpose is to sell people on an idea, lifestyle, product, and service which can improve their lives rather then a personal blog purpose is talking about the owner's personal life which can be boring a lot of the time unless they are a musician or actor.
