Mini looks like a decent small sized Apple Mac computer for someone who just needs a Mac to run a few less power intensive Mac software like iPhoto, Garageband, iMovie, Photobooth, iTunes and Apple Safari Web Browser. It also cost 599 which is a decent price for a small computer since Small computers which are well made can be more expensive, so this could be a nice computer for someone who wants a Mac, but don't want to spend thousands of dollars for the MacBookPro, iMac, MacBook Air, or MacPro.
Looks great to use in the living room to playback movies and songs which you bought from iTunes.
I believe there is a Lock you can buy for the mac mini which lets you tie it to a table teg or your monitor or to a hook in the wall.
You can also hide the Macmini better behind phone books, or large objects, so it is harder for people to find.
I bet if you have the cash or smarts you can make a table with the Mac mint built-in or screwed into it, or hire a artist/painter to make the Macmini look like a box of cookies, so it is harder for people to know it is a computer.
Indeed, but it is probably one of the most quality nettop mini computers you can buy since most Nettops I seen are Intel Atoms, and other mobile CPU 1-2GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, and a plastic case without a thunderbolt highspeed port, HDMI, a built-in power supply and Firewire.
I think it can be a good deal if you really need iMovie, iPhoto, Garageband, and other software for making Ameteur videos on YouTube since Microsoft Windows Live Essentials isn't really a strong competitor for iLife which comes with iMovie, iPhoto, Garageband, and possibly other apps.
