Some hackers last night got into yahoo's server and took over 453,000 Yahoo user accounts. You can check the link below to see if your email (if you use/got yahoo) was in the data leak.
yeah, it's not all of yahoo, just some subsection called Yahoo Voice or Associated Content
interestingly enough all the passwords are stored in plaintext which is an extremely poor practice, especially for a big site like Yahoo. How do these people get jobs doing this kind of thing? wow.
Because the passwords are all stored in plaintext, if you're the type of person to use the same password on multiple services, people are easily able to get into things like associated users Facebook accounts or their emails.
Extremely dissapointed in Yahoo, but then again, not many people use them anymore anyway.
