Listen guys/girls.

I've been making a few videos and what not and I feel that some of them might conflict with the rules
"Channels may not share any racist/illegal/offensive or pornographic material"

The issue is that the style of gaming videos I come out with does talk about adult themed topics so there is a chance that you guys are not going to like it. What I'm going to to is give a little list in the topic of of conversations within the video and admin or whoever can decide it they don't like it when they watch it and remove. It's too difficult to go through a review process through PM beforehand and I'm not going to dumb down my videos for little kids as it breaks the theme of my gaming videos.

Well, I think you should post them here and see what others think. Remember, being 'non offensive' isn't as strict a rule here as it might be on NeoGAF or Reset Era, so unless you're advocating for something truly screwed up, your videos should be fine.

But hey, what do you think Demon_Skeith Demon_Skeith?

I think the biggest problem with the term "offensive" is the term itself.
Different people think differently about what should be considered offensive and what shouldn't, which as a result creates lots of exceptions, double standards, and above all: global censorship.

I like to think I run the rules here as you would expect from a video game. Obviously I can never allow anyone to post a video you might find on a certain P hub site that shows stuff from start to the climatic finish, but as long as you mark things mature, and don't show anything extreme (which I don't think any video game does other than some off scene sounds), it should be fine.

Well, it's not like I talk about how to make a bomb and the best place to hide it so that it kills the most people. Anyway, it'll probably be fine here but some serious topics I mention such as suicide tends to be a little negative.

I'll tell you something else though. This editing crap sometimes sucks. Video converting sound junk... man

What software do you use for editing and/or conversion?
Because the general rule I have is: if it doesn't work for you, find an alternative until you find the best one.

I'm using Kdenlive myself for editing due to the lack of options available on Linux, and it's currently the only reliable editor for the said platform (though a bit slow).
As for conversion, I personally find Miro Video Converter to be a really nice one, though I barely need it after I realised "youtube-dl" can download audio-only directly too.

You are going to either think I'm dedicated or insane. I've only began to work with the edited so I'm going to have some trial an error.

-I record using the basic PS4 share button video recording then I use the basic trim that ps has to cut down the file. The good part is I have a 4K HD tv so the quality is good. The bad news is it costs 60mb of space per minute sometimes.
-I run a the stealth 600 turtle beach head set to talk out of which is ........ not bad. gives me a mild slur but meh.
When I need to grab a clip from some movie then I use a hauppauge HD PVR box. I got it years ago from points off of a credit card. I wouldn't call component connections HD but it does the job for it's purpose.
I use Movavi Video Converter to match the resolutions to diff. videos before merging and cutting them with SolveigMM Video Splitter. Sometimes I have to convert from avi to MP4 and it seems to do the job easy(Movavi).

Right now I'm trying to figure out what to use for sound. PS recording it good but if I grab a clip I need to add narreration away from my PS.

Yeah ........ I use a giant mess of programs now. This is just a hobby so I'm not trying to be some big shot.

I'll probably try Kdenlive tomorrow. I need to figure out ways to put in my narrative in videos outside of the ps3 headset, and match the volume with merged ones. I have not even made an introduction to the video yet.

If you do have issues, feel free to PM me exactly what you fear might be bad.

60 MB or MiB per minute is actually a very low amount for a 4K resolution (unless you mean 60 Mb, because that would mean it's unrealisticly low 笑), perbs the PS4 is capable of compressing on the fly?
I've never heard of Movavi and SolveigMM before, but I checked their websites and the prices seem quite reasonable to me (compared to many other commercial video tools).

But despite being active on YouTube for over 11 years now, I never added voices to my gameplay videos.
I did attempt it with camera-made videos, but then people started to complain they can't understand what I'm saying at all.
And the few commentated videos I have received more dislikes than likes, which is normally the other way around for the uncommented ones.

I should clarify. I don't have the ps4 pro yet so I'm running 1080p. My Tv is in a room with bay windows so I can run my tv on a lower brightness to save MB as well.

I find it a little tough but I'm not trying to impress anyone so I don't care too much. I can't read off of a full script while gaming and I can't just wing it so I have this cheat sheet that has a handful of phrases to keep my talk flow going .... until I screw it up... then I'm on take 16 saying the same thing.

TV brightness actually shouldn't affect capturing at all, your TV is just a live preview of what is actually going into your capture card.
I'm not here to impress either, but seeing that masses of people don't appreciate your efforts is quite painful I believe.

I'm only doing it because I need to verbally express myself through hobbies if possible(doctors orders) but yeah, that will get a bit painful I suppose.

I really don't like offensive language at all as I don't see the point, why it should be used, where someone might feel uncomfortable or get hurt in some way.
If those words are not directed towards others but just to express some point, then it's not a big issues I suppose.

I find it sometimes fits best with comedy.
