Money motivates us to work, so we can have food, water and other things.. I think without money.. no one would be motivated to do anything. We wouldn't really have food, or water or anything that we need. It powers us because it's a way for us to survive; but it is abused these days.

I think it may have to do with religion, I know one of them sees cursing as a "sin"... so that could be the start of it. I don't care for cursing myself, but I don't see any problem with it.. unless it's excessive to the point that it gets annoying.
