    Horror/Psychological anime recommendations?

The movie, not the TV show. Has a lot of blood and gore, some disturbing scenes, animation style is different. The TV show is made for teenagers and young students, so no that one isn't horror/psycho but it is a much better adaptation of the manga than the movie.

    Horror/Psychological anime recommendations?

I second Hellsing Ultimate. Watch X (the movie) as it fits the description, but it was completely disgusting to me. The TV show is much better, although it does not have horror elements. Some more horror/psycho: Urotsukidoji (lots of shocking stuff, so caution there), Vampire Hunter D...

The wages of Anime makers broken down

I work on intellectually demanding jobs for approximately 3$/hour (there rarely is anything better online), so these wages seem high to me. But I get it that Japan has higher prices and costs of living which means that they probably have it rough despite earning 3x more than me. One anime...

    Favorite anime music/songs

I checked it out, nice JPOP! :) As strange as it sounds, I still haven't watched Fate Zero. XD One of these days, I'm going to have to find some free time and finally see it.

    Favorite Anime Genre?

Futurist, regardless of whether it's sci-fi or dystopia/primitive. I also like animes or movies about revolutions or changing the system (but a lot of shows fall into this definition, from Naruto to Psycho Pass).

    Favorite anime music/songs

There's a lot of good music in anime movies and TV shows. Do you have any favorite themes or songs which you listen to over and over? Here's my short list (note: links to other YT channels, I am not advertising myself): Uplifting Katekyo Hitman Reborn - Tsuna awakens Fairy Tail - Traveler of...

In your opinion, what's the most overrated anime?

Nothing in particular. Watched 10 eps, stopped and did not want to come back to it. Considering it is such a well-known and liked show I expected it to be at least more intriguing. I liked Gundam 00 a lot e.g., but Wing - nah.

    Your favorite unknown anime?

Detroit Metal City is actually quite popular among the grown up, mature audiences. :) And I agree, it's hilarious and good fun, especially if you are into rock and metal music. Here's some really underground stuff: Nightwalker: The midnight detective (1998) - I don't really know why I liked...

In your opinion, what's the most overrated anime?

Haruhi, old Evangelion TV show (THE most overrated), Cowboy Bebop (never got immersed into it), Gundam Wing, Pokemon (could not force myself to watch it, even as a kid). I mean I kinda get why these shows are liked and popular, perhaps I saw them at a time when I wasn't in the mood for such...

What Was Your First Big PC Game?

Age of Empires - first game that looked super complex to me as a kid. It still looks sharp even though it is so old! I had to play it on my dad's work PC after my dad had finished his work. So I could only play it in the evenings, stayed up late sometimes and couldn't wake up for school. lol...

    Who Else is Watching Re:Zero?

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll have to check it out now. :) This was one of the more anticipated animes when I last saw the trailer. Glad to see it turned out well (high ratings on major anime sites).

Toxic players in team-based multiplayer games

Haha true. It's not just politics, even when you debate about science people can act like complete douchebags. Those topics are serious and important, whereas gaming ought to be somewhat more relaxed. But, I guess people vent their frustrations in games since games are their favorite escape...

    What Game Would You Play?

I've never played Master of Orion, so I can't really say anything there. It's a turn based grand strategy where you build colonies on planets, instead of cities on a map (like Civilizations). Likewise, it has one of the more sophisticated tech trees I've seen in sci-fi games - that leads to...

If you had to choose between anime and western cartoons

Anime. Easy choice for me as I grew up getting impressed by Japanese shows, instead of Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry or Disney (watched those too, but they didn't quite do it for me as Japanese animation did). Though Saber Rider was THE most epic mix of West and East: Western voice acting and rock...

Anime series that you plan to re-watch

Hunter x Hunter 2011, Great Teacher Onizuka, original Dragon Ball - I prefer lighter themes and humor when I watch old shows. Thrilling animes like Death Note and Monster do not have that reviewability factor as you know how the story plays out: I tried to rewatch them, couldn't get past ep. 10...
