    well, somewhat. you can have max of three 'Squads' as they like to call it. in those Squads you can have a max of 3 hero's. When you unlock the ability to have another squad, before the game begins, you can choose which squad you want. But you CANNOT edit or switch hero's. so if your going for a long chain, better get your guys good and powerful.

    The thing is with that boss, he isn't strong at all, but its the effect of the attack that screws with you-it's a wormhole shooter, meaning it will shoot long-shot blasts, and if hit, will teleport you in a short distance in any random direction.

    added to get a rare item and more experience you get. But if you die, You lose everything and have to start from square one-No bonus, no Experience, no items. So it's like Texas Hold Em'-you fold, keeping your chips (Quitting) or You can bet, and risk the cash you have (Chaining).

    I Highly doubt it's anything like Pokemon chaining (gotta look that up). Anyway, In Darkspore, Once you complete a level, you are given two options-Quit and get your rewards, or Risk it all and Chain. (And there's a timer to make you hurry up.) If you quit, you will receive your chance item with the Medals you've earned from the level (4 medals you can get-Bronze, Silver, Gold, but ...
