Other Gaming disorder is a disease

I think the WHO is right about that but as a player of an online game what is wrong with having fun. Playing video games makes us forget the problems and release us from this stressful world. So if gaming is a disease for them then its a cure for us video gamer.

Ooh I remember some time back when my mother said I will one day die because of gaming! This I think is a great explanation for that statement I had ignored. All gamers are sick, and addicted to the disease and I love it. No disease makes you happy and enjoying all of it like gaming. They just classified it correctly.

The question is, when does being a gamer cross the line from lifestyle/fandom to addiction? I mean, video games are literally some people's lives. A lot of people these days have created careers out of playing video games. YouTube Let's Players, Twitch streamers, eSports competitors; these are all people who have made a living from playing video games to a degree which could be considered an addiction.

Is it the degree to which you play video games, or rather how much they get in the way of leading a "regular," healthy life? Do you consider an eSports player who trains 12 hours a day as a video game addict or a dedicated athlete? There are people out there who still feel playing video games for entertainment/competition isn't a viable career.

I also don't agree with WHO on this. Hardcore gamers are naturally spending more hours than average playing video games because that's what they love spending their time on. I guess those who made these studies aren't gamers.

Probably this is a research.

Even if the person is addicted to games that almost play 12 hours a day, as long as he can do his responsibility. I don't think there is a problem there.
