If you preordered the game digitally, you can play it right now! I can't believe Spongebob and Patrick are going to be playable characters in this game lol. They don't come out until November, and Steve, the Creeper and Alex aren't unlockable until next month. I've played it a bit before getting on my computer, it's a fun game! I need to get used to the mechanics of the game though. I also need to renew my Xbox Game Pass subscription, so I can't play online right now.
 
I finished up the main Grand Prix today! I only played on Normal Speed though, it's going to be a challenge to play on the more difficult settings. I need to figure out the best combination of gadgets. I know I'll be able to also unlock an additional gadget soon. I had to restart a few tracks to even beat my rivals on the Normal Speed game lol.
 
To be honest, I still just can’t wrap my head around Spongebob being in a Sonic racing game, it’s a little wild to me. The only thing I like is how they’re mixing in all these random characters, but I’ll probably wait for reviews before I grab it myself.

Oh yeah it's really fun! Very fast paced but it is a Sonic game and it's a racing game lol. I found a perfect combination of using the gadget that allows me to perform tricks faster and I used one of the boards from the Sonic Riders characters, specifically Jet's board and was able to get 1st place all across the board on the first Secret Grand Prix set of tracks so I'm proud of myself for that! It's a game I can get lost in for hours if I allowed myself to.
 
I really like what I'm hearing about this game. The characters all seem super well handled too. I may need to pull the trigger and pick this one up soon.

I think it's a good thing our boy Sonic is finally getting the recognition he deserves! I don't have a Switch 2 so I can't compare the two games personally, but it's great to see how well the game is doing review wise.

I mean higher in general, not just the Switch 2 version
