Nintendo 3DS exclusive Bravely Default is the latest million seller for the handheld.
Overnight, the official Bravely Default Twitter account announced that the JRPG had sold over 1 million copies, based off a report from Dengeki Online. Square Enix reached the sales milestone for the 3DS exclusive by selling 400,000 units in Japan and 600,000 in the west.
Bravely Default got off to a great start in North America, where the JRPG sold 200,000 units during its first three weeks of availability. And this isn't the first time we've heard about Bravely Default performing well worldwide either, with Square Enix reportedly refocusing on JRPGs after the success of the 3DS title.
Square Enix also is probably happy that Bravely Default joins a group of well-known Nintendo-published 3DS games that have topped 1 million copies sold. The company is also busy developing Bravely Second, though the 3DS sequel hasn't been announced for the west yet.
