16-year-old quits school to play video game

If my son was really good at games, I would still insist that he finished school. Even if he could make a career out of video games, I would want him to be able to go to college if things didn't work out one day.

And if my son dropped out of school, he would be getting a job and paying rent until he was able to get his own place. (Yeah, I'm a mean mom.)

Yeah i go with SoC of that. Yeah i finished school, B+ Average, then go to the Military, but in the future if this gets big then i wouldn't be suprised if more people drop out and do something they love, and most people you see in these tournements are not fat, there actually skinner so you can tell there not lazy or some people don't eat, it's just another stereotype that people think all gamers are fat and lazy just by seeing a couple of people that are, usually playing computer MMORPG's. Most people have life's and jobs, went to college ect. but this was there dream and they can make a living out of it, hey look and the gm's for the teams all of them are usually 30 and up. I don't really care if people drop out of school to do it, IF they can commit themselves to it and do good at it, remember gaming isn't a easy sport.
