i think i like 3d a little bit better,because it looks better
 
2D Mario. It's less logical from, like, the character perspective, but it makes for much simpler (and enjoyable) gameplay.
 
i like yoshis island better than all the 3d mario games though

2D Mario games bring back such good memories but i have to stay with 3D knowing that its fun to move and jump over obstacles and such in 3D version, plus the excellent music they have like SMG's.

Or do you mean which version of Mario looks better? 2D or 3D? Lol just kidding.

I don't know if I can answer this. I like them both... I remember when Super Mario 64 came out, I couldn't believe it... nor could I hit blocks until I was informed that I needed to stand in the shadow. I really like Paper Mario because that was probably the first game that I really got involved in and played all the way through.
 
mario rpgs are actually my favorite,but thats not really what its asking
 
why isnt it a poll?
 
I'm also torn on this question. I think I have to side with both for the moment. Probably leaning more towards 2D because I grew up on it and it is really the 'classic' Mario game style.
 
This is tough. There are some really great 2D Mario games out there, but SM64 was a blast with tons of replay value.
