My sister pointed this out to me. The three starting Pokemon for Black and White finally have their English names.

You can go to the official website, found here if you don't believe me.

The new names are:

Migumaru: Oshawott

Tsutarja: Snivy

Pokabu: Tepig

To me, the only one that seems okay is Snivy. What's with the other two, despite the fact they sound similar to the animal the Pokemon is based on?

I think that's too big of a change. Even look at the 4th Gen, Sinnoh was pretty much the same with Japanese and English.

I don't mind the starter names, although they're a bit dull to be honest. The region name is fine, since I don't really think anyone pays much attention to them.

I like the name Snivy, but it seems more like a nickname for a pokemon, more then a actual pokemon name...the other names in my opinion are just terrible.

Teh Pig, Smugleaf, and Wotter for the win.

Apparently Nintendo didn't want to break the 'O' trend in region names.
