I bought the 3dsxl yeterday and have to say its a huge upgrade from the original 3ds. the system its self feels alot more sturdier and the battery life lasts alot longer the bigger screen is great.

3DS, i have no intentions to buy a new system unless it gets a 2nd circle pad installed

He is saying that he likes his 3DS and have no need for an XL. Why is it so hard to understand him? Just use common sense. Geez! I have some international buds that we don't always understand 100% what each of us say, but with common sense all is solved. I realy feel a bit sorry for this guy, he is trying hard to communicate with us, but at least he IS trying.

Wll anywys:

The 3DS XL has PLENTY more uses than the original 3DS, including a longer battery life, a 90% bigger screen, a better 3D effect, and dat Pikachu edition!
You can't seriously say that the 3DS XL has no use, you might not find it's uses very..usefull, but it DOES have uses.

There is no use for a 3DSXL other than a bigger screen, and if that is all you care about then you should just be playing a home console. The battery may be better, but my $10 Nyko battery lasts twice as long. Handhelds are made to be portable and easy to play on the go. I would much prefer one that fits in my pocket and does not require me to carry a purse, which, btw, would interfere with getting play coins as bags do not transfer walking as well on a pedometer made for registering motion from a pocket position.

The 3DSXL may have a Pikachu edition, but there are TONS of special edition 3DSs (Zelda, 3 Mario ones, Metal Gear, Fire Emblem, etc), so you aren't really giving much of a comparison there.

Did I mention the 3D effect looks better, and DS games look more "Natural"? Some people can barely see any text in the original 3DS.

Some people are afraid of using 3rd party products, why should I be forced to use a 3rd party product if I want more battery life?

An Ipad is meant to be portable, so is a laptop, do you see people complaining about a laptop not fitting in their pocket? I thought so.
There are various ways a machine can be portable, while the 3DS is more "Pocket-Portable", the 3DS XL is more "Bag-Portable".
Or if you want a simple answer: Some people want to play 3DS games, and don't give a damn about portability.
Also: The 3DS XL DOES fit in cargo pants and such, and do you really think Play Coins are that important? Aren't they just used to speed up an otherwise longer process?

What if someone REALLY wants a Pikachu skin? They get a 3DS XL
What if someone REALLY wants a Fire Emblem skin? They get a 3DS
I answered inside the quote, for convenience.

In my opinion getting a 3DS XL is rather piontless if you have an original already in your possession. The only significant difference is the screen size. I am happy with my original aqua blue model. I dont see the logic in spending an extra $200 JUST for larger screens, when you have perfectly good original that still works fine. If there is something keeping the original from working alright, then transfer the data to an XL if you wish. If you have not gotten a 3DS at all yet, then the decision doesn't at all conflict with logic. But again, This is just MY opinion. Spend your money on whatever makes you happy.

Sorry, man... it will never happen. It would fragment the user install base and conflict the developers.

Also, don't knock it until you try it. My friends thought it was foolish of me to purchase the XL, but after I let them play with it for a few minutes the agreed it was better than the original model. I'm not saying you will like it if you try it, I'm just discouraging the spread preconceived notions.

i already have a 3ds so why buy 3ds xl which is only having a bit bigger screen.
It's a lot more than "a bit" bigger. it's 90% larger, which is almost twice the size. Also, the hinge is a lot higher quality, the 3D is enhanced, and the battery lasts longer.
