I'd argue that it's not really ok to hate them in the first place…I mean, it's a strange group of people, I personally would never be a part of their culture, but do I hate them? No. They aren't harming anyone by being who they are, so I have no reason to hate them. It'd be like saying "I hate cosplayers"…you aren't being harmed or bothered in any way by them, so there's no rational reason for your hate. Regardless of that, though…the fact that someone tried to gas the convention…that's just wrong...

I hate them and I can give a legitimate reason as to why; They are ruining things I enjoy with their disgusting beastiality-style clutter, such as looking up images of game or anime characters or anything Sonic-related (although Sonic "Original Characters" are far more viral where killing Sonic for me is concerned). Placing clothing on a completely fur-covered humanoid is no different than if I dressed my former cat in a dress and made it walk around on two legs with the exception some of the art and costumes are anatomically correct in the chest area for females - and the people who find that physically attractive need to be psychologically evaluated, imho. I am open to admitting two clicks I cannot stand are Furries and Emos.

I find it disturbing that anyone would find it even mildly amusing that 19 people were sent to the hospital and possibly nearly died after being gassed... But to each his own. :/

I've learned not to judge people by their hobbies or fetishes or being part of any sort of "group".
I know a ton of people who'd classify as "furries" in the public eye but they are all perfectly normal, reasonable, friendly people like you and me. It's not like they are all "animal fuckers" or anything. That'd be like saying all anime fans are pedophiles or all gamers are misogynists. Sure, for all those prejudices there can be times where they are true but that doesn't mean you should generalize like that.
Heck, being a furry doesn't even necessarily mean that you are attracted to the characters sexually.
