Do you have a personal rule that you follow that others would find odd?

Maybe it's because of an experience. Maybe superstition. Maybe something else.

What rules do you follow that most others might not follow?

Just don't get mad, can be pretty hard to do most days.

I've gotten to where, as a rule, I don't loan people money anymore. First of all, I've never had people pay back the money that they borrowed.....I know know that I'll never see that money again. Second, I don't want people to get in the habit of asking me for money again and again and again. I have my own bills and my own responsibilities, it's hard enough to keep my own head above water as it is. There's no difference between letting people borrow money and just throwing money in the trash.....either way, I'm losing money and I can't afford to let someone bleed me dry.

I no longer let other people borrow my games. I did once, and never got to replace some of the games my "friend" stole from me. I lost my copy of Leaf Green, Teen Titans on the GBA, and Digimon World 3.

I borrowed a game back in the 8th grade and the guy kept telling me he was gonna come to my house to get it back. Never did.

25 years later, and I still have it.

People will realize they can take advantage of you if you say yes, too many times.

It's good to be nice but it's wise to be careful, too.

That's on him lol, he never came back so you got to keep it! In my case I was expecting my games to come back and I even confronted him but my parents didn't want to deal with it so they basically told me tough shit and that was it. :\
