Acer today launched a new Chromebook which it claims to be the first product of its kind to offer 14 hour battery life. The Acer Chromebook 14 is also the company’s first model with a 14 inch display and an all-aluminum body. Like all Chromebooks, it’s powered by the cloud-based Chrome OS from Google.
Acer Chromebook 14 features 4GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage aside from its 14 inch 1920×1080 pixel resolution display. Under the hood, it has an Intel Celeron N3060 processor and weighs just 3.42 pounds. Customers can also purchase this device with 2GB RAM, the Intel Celeron N3160 processor, 16GB storage and a 14 inch HD display with 1366×768 pixel resolution.
Multiple Acer Chromebook 14 models will be available for purchase starting next month, the top-of-the-line model with the full HD display, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage will cost $299.99.

14 hours of Battery life is nice for an affordable laptop which cost $299.99. This looks like a good Chromebook for using in places with unreliable power, or playing a long video file or auto-playing Slideshow presentation on a table where a power outlet is not always easily available.
The other specs like 4GB of RAM, 14 inch 1080P Screen, and lightweight design are nice features as well.
This looks like a decent laptop to install Ubuntu Linux onto, and dual-boot both Chrome OS, and Ubuntu on the same Chromebook.
