What's your take on Alan Awake Remastered if you have started playing it? It was released for PS5 on October 5, 2021. It was developed by Remedy Games and published by Epic Games.


 
Tried playing the original a few years back. Pretty lame and overrated game. The MC also never shut up.

Haha, it isn't for everyone, that's for certain. I wouldn't call it overrated though - doesn't seem like that many people rated it at all.
I completed Alan Wake once when it first arrived on the Xbox 360, and again with the release of the HD remaster. Honestly, ... it was a fairly basic remaster (which is okay). Overall, I liked it. There are some instances where it can feel a little more pretentious than it should (I personally feel that goes hand-in-hand with the Stephen King style vibe it has though), however, it has some fun, unique ideas and a certain charm that radiated from it.

Can't wait for the sequel which will lean more into survival horror.
