[background=rgb(238, 238, 238)]My last time playing was the day before Black and White came out. I desperately wanted to beat it and have a decent team to possibly port over. I already restarted once and ported anything worthwhile to my SS at the time. I guess my question is, is it worth it for me to do that again? This file has about 40 hours logged in, I'm at one of the caves for the three legendaries (no clue which one) with 4 pokes in the mid 40s. If that's not awful, I suppose I could try to play it out. But I guess what I'm trying to figure out if it's even worth it or not. I find it barely playable as it is; I'm so used to Black. Any advice would be appreciated.[/background]

Just try and beat Cynthia!

But get some trades before you do that.

As much as I'd love to, I don't even recall where I'm at story-wise. And I can't help but think my team is underleveled, if not especially undermanned.

if you're at one of the caves for the legends, the next thing you need to do is go catch dialga most likely. if not that then it's sunnyshore gym.
and the mid-forties is a good level to be at that point in the game.

Pretty easy to figure out "plot" of a Pokemon game. Heck, I played a Japanese version and only got mixed up once. If you are thinking of restarting, the only things worth saving are starters and legendaries if you have different ones from last time. Really, though, I would much rather play Platinum than Diamond.

agreed however you should port any pokemon that you really like.

My only qualm is I did already. I'm wondering if I should even go through that all again. Also, I just caught Dialga, apparently, so yeah. I think I might try to tough it out and grind another one up to mid forties or have Dialga help me out.

Is Platinum worth the investment? I might pick it up and Conquest when the latter comes out in a couple weeks.

If you are getting Conquest, then skip Platinum. It was a great game to have before, but not worth much now; it was better than Diamond/Pearl, but not as good as HGSS.

Wellp, that solves it then. Besides, I think I have access to all Pearl/Diamond Pokemon anyways if I need it through the combination of my current Diamond, and me and my brothers completed SoulSilver and HeartGold.
