Am I the only one getting sick of Super Mario Galaxy?

Seriously, for the last few years, it's literally been:

When's Super Mario Galaxy 3?

When a new Mario Galaxy game?

Why Mario 3D World? Where's Mario Galaxy 3?

Hey, Miyamoto says another Super Mario Galaxy isn't out of the question!

Pretty much non stop too. It's like these internet hordes don't get that two Mario Galaxy games is enough and that it's time Nintendo moved onto something else. And for Nintendo, it must be kind of like this:

Except replace Donkey Kong with the Mario Galaxy fanboy and the 'are we there yet' part with 'are you making Mario Galaxy 3 now?'

All I'd like to say to these people is this one thing.

Super Mario Galaxy is over. It's gone. They won't make a Galaxy 3, so please shut up, stop asking for Galaxy 3 and enjoy the games they are making like Mario 3D World. The Super Mario Galaxy 'series' is dead and will hopefully stay dead,

So get over it.

Anyone else feel like this?

I'm tired of Galaxy games. They aren't bad, not by any means of the word. It's just getting old. Mario Galaxy 1 was cool and added new ideas. Mario Galaxy 2 added to the first one. It was like what they wanted to do, but waited. Like Portal and Portal 2. We don't need another Galaxy game. They've run their course and there's nothing new they can add. Besides Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 were basically the same plot.

I'm sure I'd love it if there was a Galaxy 3, but I'm not wanting it to exist. Sure, I'd like it if 3d Mario games stopped being so linear but that doesn't mean the series can't go in new directions. Why not have an open world Mario? Could be interesting.

Mario 64
Mario Sunshine
Mario Galaxy
Mario (____) <--- I'd like that game.

Not Galaxy 3 but a 3D Mario game where you explore worlds to find stars or shines or something.
But not the linear wolrds like in Galaxy. More like the ones in 64 and Sunshine but even bigger and more elaborate.

I see your point. Buuut I don't see anyone saying they're sick of hearing "Majora's Mask remake yet? Sequal? Majora's Mask 3D?" I didn't really get to play it too much, had to sell it for Skyward Sword, but I thought it was alright. Guessing you aren't too happy with the confirmed Super Smash Bros. Galaxy level for Wii U huh? I, for one, think if the gravity is all screwed up, that'd be awesome. But I don't have a Wii U :(

I'd like to see another Mario Sunshine though.

No. I'm fine with the Mario Galaxy level. Don't get me wrong, I really like the Galaxy games too. I just want something new.

As for Sunshine 2... eh, I'd rather a spiritual successor than a direct one. A new holiday themed setting with a new gadget and open environment rather than a return to Isle Delfino or using FLUDD again.

I'm gonna turn on only Bob-Ombs and Super Mushrooms and there will be bombs floating everywhere while I'm huge :D
Ya know I think it's why people liked it so much. It was something new and different. I'm sure if they came out with something completely off the wall Galaxy would be pushed to the back burner for people.
I don't know, I might like a new FLUDD since the controls would be different. Or maybe it's just a side gadget and there's something totally new.
