I don't think you are looking at that fully in the correct perspective. True, the game Hatred is getting just that - hated on - by the journalists. Trua also, it is selling well, but sales don't measure a game's full worth. I'm willing to bet around half of the people buying hatred are doing so merely out of curiosity at this point. I mean, Hell, look at AVGN's fans; when he says 'do not play this because it is awful' people rush out to get it and try it themselves.
Also, pretty sure Brunn called it when she said "the press mocking the game is just going to help it sell by drawing attention to it".
