And the conclusion is.....GTA5 online is worthless

They were not thinking when they made gta5 online. Well....maybe they were thinking and thought it would be cool to be idiots and make it extremely unfair....

Let's say you are a new(ish) player and enter a race online. Well there is no chance you'll get anywhere because all hosts have custom rides ON, catchup OFF, and traffic OFF.
So basically the higher ranked players and their retardedly modified cars automatically win so what is the point. Now you cannot rank yourself up easily with racing, so there's a pointless game to play.

Now you decide to try some deathmatch then you find that the high ranked people automatically win as well because they have extremely powerful weapons and you have JACK. So there's some more pointless activities.

This is probably one of the worst online gaming experiences I've ever had. The only way to play this game online is to go after newbee player.

Now for myself when I'm in the free roam I continuously get kicked from players because there is a bunch of foreign language morons who don't understand to start a private server and just kick everyone out.

And WORST of ALL. It's not all that easy to mute others. It's like a 1minute job to mute them and if you get killed then you have to try again. We got the typical nasely voiced virgin nerd ghetto thugs, hindu music screaming singers, and little 12yr olds pestering you.

I would like to be the first person to say that I cannot wait to get the plat, sell the game, and never play it again.

Will I buy a gta6 if it comes out?
Yeah....I'll buy it and try it out but I've been waiting for this one to come out for years and it was made for trolls just as much as the last one. I had a much better time playing red dead redemption than this crap........

Just the other day you were telling me how cool this game was, >_>

Now I'm having second thoughts because the only reason I considered GTA5 is because of its multiplayer gameplay. Well, I'm glad you posted this up. It looks like I'm going to skip this if they release a version for PC. To the next Call of Duty game * raises a beer in the air *

I heard the online was 'legit' but that came from a guy that is a hardcore gamer, and is probably one of those that already has everything better than everyone. I myself would probably stay away from the online part of the game.

GTA5 is probably one of the most overrated games of all time. Not saying it's bad, im judt saying there is really nothing spectacular about it. Seeing how Aidsor is a big fan of the series and was anticipating this makes me confident in my opinion even more. Considering even he realizes it.

GTA online is suppose to become it's own separate thing. But rocksteady really hasn't gone into how exactly Online is suppose to be as good as offline.

There is a slim chance online gets better.

Marc, I quoted "Anyway, stuff like that. It's really cool, but it can frustrate a person to play it. The map is large enough to stay away from the trolls but it never pays to be curious and see what others are doing. They will shoot you down!" in that topic.
The idiots are getting the best of me.

Yeah, I actually said it. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. I think because they started making it 3yrs ago it build all of this hype but was using older programming. The single player is great though.

Nah, as you rank higher more missions become available but they either didn't think it threw or just are bsing about it. When you first start online you can steal cars and bring them to this guy with or without the help of other players. When you hit rank 10 you can do the exact same thing but replace "car" with "package of drugs". When you are ranked 20 you do the same thing but replace "cars" or "drugs" with "box of guns".
hahaha!
If it's an RPG it's a really basic one. Still there is plenty to do around Liberty City.

Wow, I didnt even know they started making it that long ago. But that makes so much sense when you say that, honestly there was a ton of little technical stuff about it that bugged me. Id say its a good game, but if i had to guve it a rating on a scale of 10 it'd be in the 8.0-8.7 range

Offline Wise I think GTV did very good job keeping what people loved from San Andreas and other GTA with the current technology. Still some clones down the street but the visual details of the neighbourhood are great, it seems almost like each house was made on its own.

Online wise, well it has been not really great, getting online was really hard during the first days but considering the hype I guess it is understandable. Too bad to read the system is so broken. Online is a separate project that really is just starting so, hopefully we will see it getting better in some months. Myself? I'll skip it for a year or so altogether because I don't think right now it is worth it. Too buggy and unbalanced.

Its been 3 weeks now and this game still has it fair share of bugs.

The first week or 2 is understandable, but for it to have been 3 weeks now those things should mostly have been worked out.

I really believe that they did not think this thing through when they decided to make a gta online.

And regarding the balancing of other players I agree that a lot of them are to freaken strong.

Not that I mind that for the most part, but when you have guys running around in sessions with freaken TANKS killing everyone in sight and you losing 1000s of dollars and not being able to do a thing about it it will get to you.

I'm level 22 at the moment and still run into players around level 70 or 100 on a regular basis.

Wish there was a way to join a session of players at your own level.

I don't think they'd give it up so easily given the amount of time, effort and money that no doubt has been inserted to it, but I don't think we'll see a hot fix either. I think it will have a very slow ascend of regular patches before it can properly take off.

I agree with the first poster here. I do think most games in general that have crazy hype end up overrated and people shouldn't review a game on their first week of playing giving it a 10/10; because they're blinded to the flaws by excitement. Gta V was no exception, the offline was good, great even, but not perfect which 10/10 represents.

Online GTA never got me excited, all my gaming friends were pumped for it, I never understood it. Now all I hear from my boss that plays is how 12 year olds are ruining it for him. When my mates talked about what you can do online, it never interested me in the slightest. I've played about 3 minutes of it, then I was disconnected, never touched it again.

Trevor is the greatest thing to come to GTA; not online.

Sometimes games are fine without multiplayer.

They spent over $200M on this game. It's probably just buggy because it's the most expensive vidya ever produced.

Lol, I just ran into a guy who is level 567.

Is that possible?

Or do you guys think he may be a hacker?

Either a hacker or no life, one or the other.
Same thing I thought!

I thought either this guy is a hacker or he sets and plays this game nonstop all day everyday and nothing else.

I litterly ran up and shot him in the face for like 20 seconds with a assault rifle and it took NO heath down at all.

The guy had a $510,000 bounty on him and had players ranging from 50 to 100 coming at him from all sides and no one could put a dent in him.

So 20 of you were trying to take this guy down? What happened? Did he kill you all or just walk away thinking there was nats attacking him? :P

Whats his name as well? There has to be a video up.
It was actually about 9 of us.

And yea, he killed us all, he even shrugged off all the rifle shots to the face I was giving him and proceeded to walk over and beat me up barehanded lol.

I'm level 39 with plenty of money and have a good set of weapons to boot, and the guy just shrugged everything I gave him off.

Others ranged from 50 to 80 with one of them being level 105 and we all still could not kill him.

As far as his name goes, I honestly cant remember lol, it happened earlier today, but there may be a video up.
