A lot of people in my country are making plans to travel and settle abroad. They feel that they will enjoy better life when outside the country. Do you plan to settle down abroad?

That's a lot of planning IMO. You never know what you are going to see, good or bad.

That's the truth, but if you are coming from a place that you have a lot of bad indices against you, would you say that the other side is better?
You need a way to rely on yourself and that includes a means to make money. Going somewhere where you don't know your friends isn't good either. Sure, you might have a better exchange rate, but some things you can't afford to get rid of like a job.

That's another point. Having a friend that can help you settle down there is very important.

I have plans of settling abroad, in fact that has been my dream over the years.

If I have the money to finance the project, why not? Everyone is interested in living a good life with less or no stress.

While I wouldn't mind moving to a warmer climate, it's not really feasible. My family is here plus the expenses. & while the USA has gone downhill, it's still my home country so there's nostalgia.

In an end, there's no place like home. After moving away, the feeling to come back home will always kick in every one and then.
