Anyone else not like playing games a second time?

I'm not sure why exactly, but I never really liked playing games from scratch after beating them. I can reread books and articles perfectly fine, watch as many reruns of TV shows and movies as I can tolerate fine, but I can just never bring myself to restart a video game from scratch.

Really, I just don't like deleting save data and starting over again, especially when playing Mario or Legend of Zelda games.

Maybe I'm just too attached to the individual save files, but I can't bring myself to restart a game.

Anyone else feel like that?

I actually enjoy replaying Mario, but not by starting a new file, I just replay levels when I feel like it.

I do this all of time with most of my single-playthrough games. I always tend to miss things because I have that "Get it done NAO" attitude with those types. Plus it gets me experienced with bosses so that I can help a friend out who can't beat it.

No. I just like replaying levels as well. I mean it's like Pokemon. I want to play it again, but starting over sucks. I restarted Shadow the Hedgehog. It has no replay value due to the 10 endings. To replay it would mean that levels get replayed at least 4 time or so.

I hate restarting games. It seems like work trying to achieve what you already did. Ocassionally though I'll replay a full game.

I'll never delete my old file. Too much effort went into it.
If the game allows multiple save files then I may play through it again, though. As long as it's a game I enjoy and I have enough time (I generally prefer to use my time playing new games rather than replaying old ones, so I usually don't).

If the option is there and multiple save files are available, I don't mind clearing something to make room for a new file. I've used all four save files on Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door, and towards the beginning of this year I played the first three Spyro games from scratch, despite doing it only a year before.

I re-played Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie in the space of six months, since I did them with my offline Xbox 360 Gamertag and set up a whole new one for online which is now my primary Gamertag, so I re-played them to get the achievements in my Online Gamertag. I don't want to touch either game for a good two years. I'd gladly re-play the first three Spyro games right now if I wished.

I've played Resident Evil 4 about 20 times, and at least twice on hard mode. And I suppose Pokemon games count considering I usually got both games of the generation. Only Pokemon game I didn't like replaying through was Black.

Well, I've just started a new 3D Land save file. Right now I feel it's definitely worth replaying. I'm already feeling nostalgic!
