Just looking at todays gamers and kids and their tastes in games and stuff?

Because to be honest, it's kind of making me feel old, and I'm not even 30. I look at all these Youtube and social media 'celebrity' stories and videos, and I wonder who the hell any of these people are. I look at more modern games, and I sometimes wonder how this generation can enjoy them so much. And their politics... Well, less said about that the better.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I mean... yeah... But more in a sense that everyone goes insane over all the new FPS titles, like man get into a platformer.

Same. I can't get into FPS's and I really don't like how online is effecting video games. I mean they force you to buy a membership just to play with friends online and for some reason people buy into that.

Yeah, I know what you mean there. The paying for online thing definitely seems a shame, since quite a few games with Xbox Live multiplayer functionality seem like ones I'd enjoy... just not with a monthly or yearly payment.

Not really. Kids will like what they want and you can either scoff at it or accept it. I choose to accept it because I don't want to become the old man on the porch living in the past rather than enjoying the moment.

Honestly when it comes to paying for online you usually get better service. I didn't mind paying for Xbox Live, but I would only ever play CoD: Black Ops (which was the highlight of CoD imho.)

To be honest, I do feel a bit behind the time by playing older/lower quality (graphics-wise) games, but that's mainly due to my computer not being the best, especially when it comes to gaming.

I do, I don't even know what the best games are right now or what good music is out. I used to be up to date with everything, but not anymore. I think it's because I haven't used my twitter since July 26th. I lost some followers too, but its cool.

I like to know how they have the time to play it all, I see these people doing daily 8 hour gaming sessions and I'm like what life do you people have other than none?

I dislike digital downloadable games, DLC, and paying for online gaming like Xbox Live Gold are for consoles, but younger gamers seem to accept digital games, DLC and paying for online games.

No kidding. Then again, social media makes me feel like that too. What do these heavy users do all day? How can they spend all their time on Twitter/Facebook/YouTube/Reddit/Discord/whatever? Do they not have to work/eat/sleep/go to school/college/whatever? It feels like the internet is filled with rich idiots with no day jobs (as TV Tropes would say).

Ah well, I feel the same way about many people in real life too. Every time I go into town in the middle of a work day or what not, I wonder how so many people can be shopping at around 1-2pm on a weekday. Do they not have jobs or school to get to? It's not even a particularly big town or city where you'd expect people to be around in their lunch break or what not...
