With more than 200 new features, OS X Mavericks brings iBooks® and Maps to the Mac®, includes a new version of Safari®, enhances multi-display support, introduces Finder® Tabs and Tags and delivers new core technologies for breakthrough power efficiency and performance.

OS X Mavericks is available today for free from the Mac App Store. Any Mac capable of running OS X Mountain Lion can also run Mavericks. You can upgrade to Mavericks for free directly from OS X Snow Leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion.

This is great news for people who own an Apple Mac computer or laptop with an older Mac OS X operating systems like OS X Snow Leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion.

Now Windows is now the only popular operating system which require people to pay for operating system upgrades like upgrading from Windows 7 to 8.1 which cost $99(8.1 Home)-199(8.1 Pro).
 
I love this update and especially was shocking that apple was going to make this update free (good job!)

Have probably yet to see all the updates, the so called 200 updates, although have noticed a change in Safari and how can you tag documents.
